Does the .mov format import into Final Cut Express (4)? I can drag the files into FCE, but only get a white picture when playing.
The MPEG2 video decompressor component used for .mp4 (XDCAM EX) and .mov (Final Cut Pro) files created by GY-HM100/700 is distributed only with Final Cut Pro 6.04+ (Apple considers these to be "pro" format files and does not provide the codec with Quicktime, Final Cut Express, or iMovie.)
Third party plug-ins and “quicktime components” software may enable XDCAM EX playback without FCP but video performance cannot be guaranteed.
